In 2022 we teamed up with Action Trax as our recovery board partner, which enables us to provide you their entire suite of recovery board products. These recovery products are USA Made, and we can send them to you directly, or bundle their products with your roof rack package. Additionally, we’re now running ActionTrax on our own rigs, and plan to provide additional product reviews, videos, and comparisons in the future as additional content on this page as well as our social media channels. ActionTrax Recovery Trax

Material is made from a specialized thermoplastic unique to ActionTrax. These recovery boards are slightly softer and more pliable than say a Maxtrax, which means rather than span a gap to form a bridge, they will conform more to the surface below. The advangate is the result is similar to airing down your tires, in that the tire has a longer track patter below it which should translate to more traction. The potential disadvantage is the additional wheel droop will reduce track weight, thereby reducing traction… however in those cases support in the center can be enhanced by adding a rock below the Recovery Trax.

ActionTrax come with a 5-year warranty, unconditional in all cases except for excessive wheel spin- you are urged strongly to not spin your tires, as it won’t get you unstuck any faster, and it can and will damage both your tires and ActionTrax recovery trax. Multiple colors are available, as are both all plastic and stainless steel metal teeth versions. We’re told that one can perform the conversion themselves, all it takes is time and is a good option for older Action Trax which have had their teeth worn down from excessive wheel spin.

Mounting hole spacing is unique. It is four keyholes spaced in a rectangle 34 3/8” x 10 1/2. Available with or without metal teeth, in 6 colors, available for immediate shipping or can be bundled with your roof rack package.

Actiontrax multi purpose carry bag

These bags can be used as an alternative to and external roof rack or spare tire mount system, and also provide a protected way of storing your recovery boards inside your vehicle. Some of the key advantages to these recovery boards include…

  • Ability to store up to 4 recovery boards, even multiple styles.

  • Lock in dirt, mud, and snowy water while traction boards are stored inside the vehicle.
