dashboard mic holders

Another original Gamiviti product, we’ve brought these back in 2025 with improved quality, functionality, and pricing. These mic holders are custom designed to fit into the dashboard slots of most 60, 62, and 80 series Land Cruisers and LX450, in areas surrounding the radio, left of the steering column, and center console. They also fit some 4Runner and Tacoma models also… if your vehicle has this size switch in it, then odds are good these mic holders will fit there as well.

Horizontal mic holders

These get their name from their install orientation, in that they’re intended to be installed “sideways” in your dashboard. The most common spots for these are along the top row of the 95-97 80 series Land Cruiser and LX450, as well as inside the optional dashboard insert for that model. All horizontal and vertical mid holders can be painted, and also come with provision to add LED backlighting, if desired.

Vertical mic holders

These also get their name from their install orientation, in that they are intended to run “up and down” on your dashboard and center console. The most common spots for these are left of your steering column (near the mirror controls) and replacing the coin holders in your center console. All horizontal and vertical mic holders can be painted, and come with provision to add LED backlighting, if desired.

adding lights

The backside of the mic holders have geometry added to support aftermarket LED bulbs.. the horizontal version providing an opening into which you install a little plastic collar that comes with the bulb, and the vertical version with geometry that allows the LED bulb to be installed directly. Bulbs can be purchased separately, and you do your own installation and wiring (ask us if you have any questions). The result though is a very custom appearance… with the microphone installed you can’t really see the light, but when removed the mic holder is illuminated letting you know where to return the microphone after speaking. See the images below

The lights above all came from Superbrightleds.com referred to as “through hole component LEDs” https://www.superbrightleds.com/installation-supplies/component-leds/through-hole. It looks like they may have discontinued the part numbers with the added wire leads on them, or at least made them more difficult to find on their site. But they still sell the diodes themselves, allowing you to solder on your own wires. You can see the diode part numbers on the pink packages below.. they cost almost nothing, so just buy a few of them and use the one that works best, have fun with this. It also may be possible to source them elsewhere, with the wires.
