Gamiviti is a now a dealer of the Rightline Gear, with full access to their line of vehicle products and accessories. We stock our most favorite items, and can have the others to you within days, for pickup or shipping with a rack, or even drop shipped to you. Like just about everything else, these products ship for free with your rack purchase, and they not only compliment a roof rack build well but also make great gifts.

The 4x4 Duffle Bags are made from tough PVC Coated Mesh that is re-enforced for strength and UV protected. The bags feature welded seams, urethane coated zippers, and a hook-&-loop-close main zipper flap to keep the dust, mud, snow, and water out.

Small 4x4 Duffel Bag

It’s not really fair to call this guy small, but compared to the larger ones here that comparison is correct. 60L capacity, with dimensions of 25” L x 11.75” W x 13” H, this little bag is capable of holding quite a bit- enough room for a small stove, gas, and some pans, or more than enough room to pack your clothes for a weekend. The shoulder straps clips into 4 separate loops on the bag making for a very robust way to transport the bag long distances, and the small handles on the short sides are exceptionally great for maneuvering the bag with the shoulder strap disconnected.

  • Capacity: 60 L

  • Dimensions: 25” L x 11.75” W x 13” H

  • Weatherproof with welded seams, urethane coated zipper, and hook-&-loop-close zipper cover

  • Includes: bag, shoulder strap, (2) attachment straps, and set up guide

Retail price $89.95. And like every other accessory, ships for free with your roof rack package.

large 4x4 duffel bag

Same features as the small duffel bag, just bigger. This one has enough room for your sleeping bag, dome tent, and a pillow… or enough room for all your clothes for a week or so. Like the smaller one, the shoulder straps clip into 4 separate loops on the bag making for a very robust way to transport the bag long distances, and the small handles on the short sides are exceptionally great for maneuvering the bag with the shoulder strap disconnected, including getting it up and down from the roof rack.

  • Capacity: 120 L

  • Dimensions: 30" L x 14.75" W x 16.5" H

  • Weatherproof with welded seams, urethane coated zippers, and a hook-&-loop-close zipper cover

  • Includes: bag, shoulder strap, (2) attachment straps, and set up guide

Retail price $99.95. And like every other accessory, ships for free with your roof rack package.

car top duffel bag

Now this guy is a monster, it is the biggest of the three on the page here. Not only does it hold a ton, but it is really big also- so be warned, this thing rivals most motorcycle and hockey gear bags in sheer size. It measures 36” L x 16” W x 13” H and boasts a 4.3 cubic foot capacity. it has the same shoulder strap as the smaller bag above, but it doesn’t have the end handles, which we appreciate on the other one. But its low height makes it a good choice for strapping to the roof, making it a good choice in this capacity range.

  • Capacity: 4.3 cu ft

  • Dimensions: 36” L x 16” W x 13” H

  • Designed for any size vehicle, WITH or WITHOUT a roof rack

  • 100% Waterproof with welded seams, urethane coated zipper, and hook-&-loop-close zipper cover

  • PVC Coated Mesh - a stiffer polyester re-enforced PVC

  • Includes: Car Top Duffle Bag, (2) nylon straps, (4) Car Clips and complete set up guide

Retail price $89.95. And like every other accessory, ships for free with your roof rack package.

our recommendation

Even though it holds the most, to be honest the big car top duffel bag isn’t our favorite here. We much prefer the 4x4 duffel bags for two main reasons:

  • The single zipper opening in the top of the car top duffel makes it faster to access the contents, but the narrower opening makes it harder to dig for something specific, or remove a really wide item. We like the black 4x4 black bags better because of the wider oval-shaped opening, it’s much easier to access the stuff inside, and remove items without scraping your arm on the exposed zipper and velcro.

  • The handles on the sides of the 4x4 bags are excellent. In fact, we wish the car top bags had handles on the sides. When you remove the shoulder strap to secure the bags to the roof rack, you lose that strap for actually lifting the bag… and a full bag can weigh quite a bit. So having those handles on the ends not only makes it easier to load/unload the bags from the racks without a shoulder strap, they also provide another great way to just carry the bag, even with 2 people.

So if you want the best option here, go with one each of the small and large 4x4 duffel bags! Buy them both and ship them together, or better yet add them to your roof rack package and they’ll ship for free.
