80 Series Rack Delete hardware
Removal of your factory rack from the 80 series will leave behind some exposed threaded holes, and while the best way to repair this is to weld those shut and repaint the roof, that’s not always practical for all budgets and timelines. So the next best thing is to fill those up with a little silicone or polyurethane sealant, and install our hardware kit.
Rubber washers are 3mm (.120”) thick, made from EPDM, providing great UV, chemical, tear, and compression set resistance.
Bolts are M5,slotted head pan screws, made from A1/303 stainless steel, providing a higher strength than 304 stainless while maintaining good rust and corrosion resistance.
Rack Hardware
Gamiviti racks and towers are connected with 1” long stainless steel button head cap screws, stainless washers and lock washers, and yellow zinc dichromate electroplated nuts. Every attachment point uses 2 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 lock washers, and 4 flat washers.
Rain gutter tower hardware
Sometimes you lose things… or perhaps just want to refresh the hardware on an older or acquired set of towers. 1 rain gutter requires 1 2” bolt, 2 1” bolts, 3 lock washers, 3 nuts, and 5 flat washers.
1” extrusion hardware
This is the hardware that will connect roof channel or rain gutter Gamiviti towers to the more common 1x2 or 1x3 t-slot profile extrusions. So if you’re using our towers to make your own extrusion rack, or just using those extrusions as cross bars, this is what you need. Each extrusion will take 4 1/4-20 weld nuts, which serve as the track nuts inside the extrusion. Then through the tower you’ll run 4 1/2” bolts, each with lock washers and flat washers.
40mm Extrusion Hardware
When adding 40mm t-slot extrusions to your roof channel or rain gutter towers, this is the hardware you need to connect them. 40mm extrusions are a great alternative to the more common 1” profile, in that they are much stiffer for heavier loads, and they mount using 5/16-18 bolts, rather than the smaller 1/4-20. In addition to being stronger, the 5/16” carriage bolts put the bolt head inside the extrusion, so that all of your washers and nuts are on the underside of the tower- on smaller extrusions the bolts are threaded in the other orientation, into channel nuts inside the extrusions, which are more difficult to get lined up. Every 40mm extrusion will take a total of 4 bolts, 4 lock washers, 4 nuts, and 8 flat washers.
Channel Nut Hardware
This is the hardware you want if you’re connecting Uni-strut pieces to be used as cross bars, or a Rhino platform rack directly to our roof channel or rain gutter towers, or anything else that takes a 3/8” spring nut. We use 2 spring nuts per tower, paired with our same stainless bolts, washers, and lock washers.
