Plastic Clips
Designed and launched in 2019, these plastic clips now serve a variety of purposes for connecting items to 1” tubing, providing a rigid, secure, and scratch-free engagement. These clips provide a number of solutions for adding accessories to your rack, including fairings, grid panels, and gear cases, in stock and available for purchase any time from Gamiviti. Uses include…
Upgrade any fairing to the plastic snap-on version. Easier to use, more secure, and won’t scratch the rack. More info can be found here.
Secure panels to your roof rack for a modular flooring solution, including our plastic grid panels found here.
Add “stops” to the underside of your storage cases, to help secure your load.
For mounting clips to fairings and other thinner, rigid items, plastic clips come with 1/4-20 x 3/4” stainless bolts with 2 ribbed flange nuts. For mounting clips to grid panels, clips come with 1/4-20 x 1” stainless bolts, stainless backing plates, and 2 ribbed flange nuts. For snap-on grid panels, snap-on fairings, and other products in your rack package that rely on these plastic clips the clips are already included in those items so you don’t need to purchase them separate here, this page is for additional clips, and more diy projects involving them.

Hole pattern for plastic clips, how to drill.
The basic rule of thumb is your hole spacing should be 1” narrower than the space you want to install your clips inside.
For example if you’re installing plastic clips to a fairing, and you measure the gap between your bars at 2.75”, then you want to drill the holes at 1.75”.
Another example if you’re adding plastic clips to a plastic or metal case on top fo the rack, and you want the clips to engage with cross bars with a 9.5” gap between them (standard) then your hole spacing should be 8.5”
For the holes through the actual clips, drill one hole first, then use a clip as your template for the second hole. Do your best to keep the clip square to the cross bar it will be mounted to, however given the slots in the clips being exact here isn’t necessary.
A 1/4” drill bit, or something slightly larger, works best for your drill size.
