rack arms
A new product for 2023, our rack arms provide some unique solutions for adding accessories to the side of your roof rack or cross bar system.
Upgrade your OEM Rail Brackets and continue to use the awning plates, when you transition from your OEM rails to an aftermarket roof rack.
Allow you to run our traction ramp brackets vertically, outside of a roof top tent.
On Gamiviti racks, allow you to run the brackets on the underside of your rack, leaving the top surface clean and open for grid panels, tents, or other large items that are best strapped to a flat rack surface.
If you have a Gamiviti rack we’ll throw in some matching hardware to attach these to your rack plates. If you’re running an extrusion rack, or extruded cross bars, we can add in some hardware for that as well. Just tell us what you have in the field below when you place your order.
For use with traction ramp brackets
When installing the rack arms combined with the traction ramp brackets, it is necessary to find 2 mount positions that will align with the mounting holes of your traction boards. That number is 35” if you are using either Maxtrax or ActionTrax. Use the provided hitch pins to secure the 2 pieces together, adding optional rubber tubing or mechanical attachments (not included) if desired to limit movement.
Remember you have the option of adding the Maxtrax pin mounts to our traction ramp brackets (sold separately) or you can opt to have us install M8 riv nuts and provide threaded knobs to secure your traction boards. More information on that can be seen on the traction ramp bracket page.
For use with awning plates
Combine the rack arms with our awning plates and you’ve got a very useful and adjustable awning bracket. Similar to our rack receivers, you can mount your awning, shower enclosure, accessory plate, or other item underneath your Gamiviti rack, leaving the top of the rack clear for tents, grid panels, and other items.
